Zach.1 : the 144, Adam, the gate,
cardinal points and
the eden-land :
‘Joshua receiving new clothes’ if the 144 understand prophets [KJV 1:1-5 + 3:1-10 + 5:1-4] [2022-03mar.28]

Zech.1 : the 144, Adam, the gate,
cardinal points and the eden-land :

‘Joshua receiving new clothes’
if the 144 understand prophets

[KJV 1:1-5 + 3:1-10 + 5:1-4]
[2022-03mar.28]

note :
very corrupted chapters and having entire sections cut&pasted elsewhere

                                                  main theme

                Adam , the gate , the cardinal points , the eden-land and the 144

– this first chapter starts out with ‘Gods wrath against (our father-) Adam’ :
… though in only one small line here
Adam will appear in next chapter 2 where the same root ‘wrath’ is mentioned ;

– then God mentions to us ‘that the 500 BC fathers did not listen to Me’ ;
… eventhough he explained them the situation through the other prophets ,
they refused to listen – therefore God could not use them for this ‘job’ ;
(it is true that the fact of méntioning the 500 BC fathers works a bit confusing here
and we tried to see whether these lines were about ‘Adam’ but that refuses to run ;
therefore God must have said this to point TO Adam as ‘first father’) ;

– the theme then turns to us as ‘Joshua [=144] receiving new clothes’ ;
… though this section appears as KJV chapter 3 it properly belongs here
because it makes the point of “receiving eden-life DURING this life” (and see Isaiah)
which is important because the 144 carry the very attributes óf Adam :
and the condition for ‘Joshua’
also here is “the understanding the words in the prophets correctly” – see closing lines

      closing : understanding the scroll (=’the flying scroll’ of KJV)

corruptions : from subtile to grave ;
theme and buildup seems solid now ;

Zecheriah  1

1
In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah,
the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
1
in – the eight – month , in – the second – year of – Darius ,
the word [in right direction] of – IEUE – becomes – to – Zecheriah
son of – Berechiah – son of – Iddo – the prophet ,
saying :

note :
… all names in sequence : “the timely / blessing / for the male (-child)”  (?)

the candidate sons addressed  (-of the 144) :
2-3
The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts,
and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
2
IEUE – (is) wroth – at – [+the adm-man] (=’Adam’) – their father ,
b
[+therefore] – wroth=say – [+to] – [+the sons of] – [+the house] – [+Ishral] [=’the 144’] ,
3
saying – [..] :                                                                                  [2: addition : ours, for continuation]
b
return – to me ! , (is) the declaration of – IEUE of – hosts ,
c
and I (will) return – to you , says – IEUE of – hosts ;    +     [b-c : typical sons line]

because the 500 BC fathers “wouldn’t stand up to Adam” :

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying,
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and [from] your evil doings:
but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.
4
[+because] it must-not-be – (that-) you (would) become – as your fathers [=’500BC’]
b
unto – whom – the former – prophets – (have) called out , saying :
c
thus – says – IEUE of – hosts :
d
‘turn , please ! , from your – evil – ways – and your – evil – practices’ ;
e
[=but] they (did) – not – listen – nor – paid attention – to me , (is) the declaration of – IEUE ;    +

… since they interpreted God’s concept as “some rigid earthly regime” :
6 (!)
But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets,
did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts
thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
6
yea=because – my words – and statutes – which – I explained (-them)    +
b
[through] my servants – the prophets – (did) not – convince – your fathers ,
c
and they turned (-from me) , saying (-among themselves) :
d
that which – IEUE of – hosts – plans – to do – to us
e
[likely interpretation :]
(will) so=not (be) – (like-) our – common – ways – and practices ;

… because only ‘receiving eden-life’ will be good enough :
5 (!)
Your fathers, where [are] they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
5
[w/ very corrupt :]
[+but] your fathers – (did) [+not] – [+understand]
b
where=that – the prophets – they=addressed – the forever – (eden-) life     +
c    (aie=ki)                                              (em=amr)
[+to be received] – [+in] – [+this] – [+life] (-time) ;                [<< ours, for continuation]

note :
… also in other prophets a main point is “dúring your life – not after physical death” ;
this 5 was the transition line of Esau’s corruption ;
– KJV starts an INSERTED theme now ;

                                                      next , the promise [-for the 144] :

[Zech. 3 :]

[note how now also ‘the angel’ (Christ) is properly introduced ! :]
1-2
And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD,
and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the LORD said unto Satan,
The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee:
[is] not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
1
[=then] I (am) shown – Joshua – the high – priest                         [<< image of the 144]
b
standing – in front of – the angel (Christ) of – IEUE ,      [<< perhaps ‘anointed one’]
c
[=while] Satan – stands – at – his – rightside – (being) hostile to him ;
d
and – IEUE=the angel – says – to – Satan :
e
IEUE – rebukes – [..] you , Satan ,
f
[=because] – ieue=Joshua – rebuke=represents – [..] the chose=house of – jerusalem=Ishral
g                          (ieue=ieusho)                                                                   (bchr=bth)                  (irshlm=ishrl)
not=who (are) (as-) this – wooden brand – (I have-) rescued – from the fire ;

3-4-5
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying,
Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said,
Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head.
So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
3
[=now] Joshua – (had been) clothed – (with-) a dirty – garment ,               [<< this body]
b

4
[=then] [..1x..] – [+IEUE] – says – to – the ones standing – [=around] [=them] :
b
remove – the dirty – garments – from him ;                                   [<< but read : wás removed]
c
[=while] saying – unto him : behold , I (have) done away – your depravity – from you ,
d

b
[..4x..] – and clothe him – (with-) [+a clean] – raiment ,
c
[in] the presence of – the angel of – IEUE ;

note :
… there is another prophets chapter containing a similar scene like this
but then ‘in the presence of God , Miss and Christ’ – but we’ve to search that back ;

                                    now should follow ‘a condition’  (-of the above) ,

(the vision is now over !)
6-7
And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying: Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house,
and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
6
and=therefore ,
protested=say – (to-) the angel=sons – ieue=represented – [=by] Joshua ,
saying :
b
thus – says – IEUE of – hosts :
c
if – [+you desire] – to follow – my ways – and – observe – my [=concepts] ,
d

e
and you (will) keep – my court ;             +
e
[..unknown ; probably Esau’s addition..]

note :
… there cannot be any ‘conditional terms’ after we left here !
in prophets are many promises “.. I will make you priests” or “guardians of the land” etc
but never áfter the event (because it’s unthinkable that the sons would still ‘sin’) ;
– hence we think Esau added line e) to suggest some earthly position ;

9-10
For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone [shall be] seven eyes:
behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the
iniquity of that land in one day. In that day, saith the LORD of hosts,
shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

note :
the validation of this section here :
– first because KJV’s “flying scroll of 20 cubits” SOUNDS mysterious but is Nonsense ;
– second ,
  it is unavoidable that after Joshua’s new clothes it requires a condition ;
– third ,
  now the end of the chapter neatly links to the 500 BC fathers mentioned at the start ;
  while “the scroll of divorce” introduces the land in next chapters ;
also ,
the original text invoked the ferocious hate of Esau shown in the manner of corruptions ,
unlike other prophets this book was corrupted with the same Hate as the letters in NT ;
