though it is possible that every seventh year “the crop land needed a sabbatical”
the main theme as “the declaring of the scroll” was skilfully removed by Esau ,
and only after that any “rest for the land” can have been addressed ;
what we want in the second place is “try to establish this 2024 as the 49th year”
which is a rather personal desire isn’t it — and there is nothing wrong with that
as long we try to be as objective as possible : yes we “can make or break texts”
since that is the Legal Right given to us — but it HAS to fit the context ;
that said , please note the running theme as the phrases marked in blue :
#2 : original composition of chapter 25 : likely as 25 + 25-B from 24 :
… 25 as the whole ‘Sabbatical & Jubilee’ is extremely long , as 55 lines in total ;
that is not necessarily a problem but when still at least 10 lines need to be added
(from chapter 24) to complete the ‘Sabbatical theme’ , it IS ;
below shows how 24 most likely was part of chapter 25 :
okay — and now we need to see how to restore 25 and 25-B ;
it *may* have been that the end of 24 said something akin to the alleged “2nd passover” (Num.9)
because line 17-21 (-in chapter 24) are totally corrupt and / or added , yet contain “stranger” like
in the Numbers 9 section : this is important for us since we look for “a repeat of the declaring of
the scroll in the 50th year – or not” ;
second , please : we can never be 100% sure whether Esau cut-off and moved other lines still :
all we can do is be attent to adjacent chapters (where he used to hide cut-off sections)
