Revelation 2 (-first four churches)

fulltext :

A)  EPHESUS    [time of the first Christians – until around 400 AD]
1
write unto the saints of the Ephesus church :
this says the one holding a sealed scroll in his right hand ,
who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands :
2
I know your works , your labour and your endurance ,
and how you are not able to bear evil ;                                                                                             [see 3a as why !]
while you are testing the ones saying to be apostles but are not ,                                   [gets worse in 9]
for you expose them as liars ,       +
3
because I am speaking directly to you                                                                                                        [to the soul]
so that you have understanding about your land that you left
which God has created ;                                                                                             [‘paradise’ in 7]  [kopaió=ktizô]
4
but I have this against you :
you are forgétting your former estate (‘Eden’) ;
5
remember therefore to where you have to return again , and repent ,
and show the former love (or : ‘zeal’?) ,
or else I will leave you soon ,       +
as ceasing to speak to you about the promise (?) for you :
unless you repent ;
6
please do not let it happen      +
that the scroll of falsehood (KJV) which I hate would come into being ;                                    [see intro]
7
the one having an ear , let him hear what the Spirit says to this church :
to the ones that will overcome I will give to eat from the tree of life
which is in the midst of the paradise of God ;                                                              [or: ‘garden of Eden’ etc]

B)  SMYRNA         [from around 400 – medieval period until 1500]
8
and write unto the saints of the Smyrna church :
this says the first and the last ,                                                             [because of the 10 centuries interval ?]
who had died and lives :
9
I know your works , under affliction and poverty ,
for you are being betrayed by the ones saying :
we are the church of the Christ ,                                                                                                                       [the RCC !]
but they are working together with Adam ;                                                                     [sunagógé=synergos !]
10
because they will withhold from you anything that is written in the scroll ,                                    [true !]
since God was about to cast      +
the adversary (Adam !) into Sheol ;                                                        [because of Ephesus]   [and see Is.14]
b
therefore he is furious     +                                                                                                   [‘he’ = Adam and see note]
and will put you to the test for ten days :                                                                                                  [1000 years]
but be (-you) faithful until death and I will give you the crown of life ;
11
the one having an ear , let him hear what the Spirit says to this church :
the one overcoming will not be hurt by the second death ;                                                         [see intro]

C)  PERGAMOS      [1500-1650 (Reformation) – 1790 (‘enlightenment’)]
12
and write to the saints in the Pergamos church :
this says the one having the sharp two-edged sword :                        [see ch.1 , “corrupt scroll theme”]
13
I know your works ,
and your resistance against the church of Adam ,                                                                  [now He is blunt..]
because you hold fast my name and not deny the belief in me ,
and will be standing firm like my faithful witnesses in Ephesus ;                                    [first Christianity]
therefore some (?) of you will be killed      +
because of resisting the adversary ;                                                        [probably the counter-Reformation]
14
but I have this against you :                                                                                                                [14 : so in prophets]
you are not aware      +
that you are about to propagate the teachings of Adam ,                                             [note the sad irony !]
who counseled Esau to cast a snare before the sons of Ishral                                      [‘the potential 144’]
through changing the words of God ;
15
and because you will not listen to Him ,
you are about to produce the scroll of falsehood     +                                        [or: ‘of wickedness’]    [KJV]
which I hate ;                                                                                                                     [hence His anger in chapter 1 !]
16
repent , or else I will cause malice to come upon you ,
and I will fight against you with the scroll of your own doing ;                                       [summum of irony]
17
the one having an ear , let him hear what the Spirit says to this church :
to the one overcoming ,
I (will) give the words to drink that had been hidden ,
for I will give him the eden waters for the soul                              [“now fully understanding the scroll”]
as the words of God that had been written in the scroll
which no one understands except the one that receives them ;

D)   THYATIRA    [‘modern christianity’ 1790 – 2017/18]                  [=also THIS generation still !]
18
and write to the saints in the Thyatira church :
this says the one having eyes like flames of fire ,                                              [‘discernment’]       [see ch. 1]

while his feet are like fine brass ;                                                                                  [‘solid basis’]          [see ch. 1]
19
I know your works , and the charity and service ,
and the zealousness of your faith       +
as your evangelizing until the ends of the earth ;                                                                [19 : so in prophets]
20
but I have this against you :
you do not care about the scroll of the prophets ,
because you say : we are saved already ! ;
but your own doctrine      +                                                                                   [read : the ‘Christ Only’ doctrine]
seduces the sons of Ishral     +
to álso go prostitute ,                                                                                                   [bý that doctrine and see intro]
because of the corrupted scroll (KJV) ;
21
now ,
I will cause the restóred scroll (‘by the sons’) to be given to your ministers (‘pastors etc’) ,
but they will not hearken to it ;        +
22
behold ! , therefore I will cast them     +
and all the ones that will have prostituted against God into the great tribulation ,                           [sic]
if you will not repent from your doings ;
23
and your body will be slain during the tribulation ,
so that every soul will know that I am the one searching reins and heart ,
and will repay each of you according to your doings ;
24
25                                                                                                                                  [part of Sardis ; Esau moved 24-25]
26
but the ones that will overcome ,                                                               [from Thyatire come the final 144 :]
I will make to investigate the words of God in the end ;
as those that I will be giving authority over the nations (-of demons) ;     +
27
and they will rule them with an iron rod ,                                                                                             [see prophets]
when they will have received their new vessel (‘the Original (-body)’) ,
just as my Father has restored me ;
28                                                                                                                                                                         [Sardis like 24-25]
29
the one having an ear , let him hear what the Spirit says to this church .

                                                                 note ! :
                                                                 the fate of the people of Thyatira continues in ‘Laodicea’ !

Revelation 2 (-first four churches)

EPHESUS    [time of the first Christians – until around 400 AD]
[etymology : from Luwian Apa-ša (“later-city”) , context : “after eden”
where ‘city’ in prophets is also a synonym for ‘this earth’]
1
write – (unto-) the – angel=saints of – (the-) Ephesus – church :
b
this – says – the – one holding – a – seven=sealed – stars=scroll                             [wrong syntax]
c
in – [..] his – right (-hand) ,
d
[=who] – walks – in the midst of – the – seven – [..] golden – lampstands :

2
I know – [..] your – works , [..] your – labour – and – [..] your – endurance ,
b
and – [=how] – you (are) – not – able – to bear – evil ;                                               [see 3a as why !]
c
[=while] – you (are) tried=testing – the – ones saying – to be – apostles – [=but] – are – not ,
d
[=for] – you expose – them – (as-) liars ,      +                                       [c : that phrase will get worse..]

[next 3 : corrupt ,
because “endurance”, “to bear” and “labour” were in 2 already :
a) did this line have another place originally ?
b) after “false apostles” in 2 , shouldn’t be mentioned now how they knew ?
      namely because Christ told them directly [-into the heart] ?
      and consequently , if they keep doing bad He will cease that (in 5) ? ;
3
and=because – you=I (am) bear=speaking – (directly-) (to-) [+you]                            [=to the soul]
b
and=so that – you have – endurance=understanding
c
and=about – [..] [..] me=your – name=land – (that-) you laboured=left (?) (kopiaó=eg-kataleipô)
d
and=which – not=God – (has) fainted=created (kopaió=ktizô) ;                  [and see ‘paradise’ in 7]

[next 4 : because ‘to remember’ is in 5 here should be ‘you forget’ :]
4
but – I have – that=this – against – you :
b
you (are) leave=forgétting (ap-hiémi=ep-ilanthano-mai)      +
c
your – first=former (proten=prota) – love=estate (‘Eden’) ;

5
remember – therefore – (to-) where – you (have) to fall=return again (piptó=hypostrephô) ,
b
and – repent ,
c
and – do=show (?) – the – former – works=love (‘zeal’?) (erGon=aGapê) ,
d
or – else – I (will) come=leave (!) – you – soon
e
and=as – move=ceasing – [..] to lampstand=speak – (to-) you
f
out=about – the – place=promise (?) – (for-) his=you :
g
except – you repent ;

[next 6 : problem : is almost a copy of line 15 :
“But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.” ;
as 15 we have ,
15
[+because] – you (will) thus=not – have=listen – (to-) and=Him
b
(and-) (are) you=about – to hold=produce        +
c
the – teaching=scroll of – nicolaitans=falsehood     +                                           [or: ‘of wickedness’]
d
which – I hate ;

… so ‘teaching + nicolaitans’ can seriously be ‘the scroll of + falsehood’ :]
6
but=please (alla=areskô)      +                                                                                                              [why not ?]
b
(do) this=not – (let it) having=happen      +                                             [6 : double problem – see note]
c
that – the – acts=scroll of – nicolaitans=falsehood (KJV) – (would) hate=come into being
d
which – [..] I – hate ;

note :
… this restoration is only valid “if the entire theme works to the KJV (the Pergamum church)”
and leaves out of the equation that prophets themselves were corrupted already ;

7
the – one having – (an-) ear , let him hear – what – the – Spirit – says – (to-) [+this] church :
b
(to-) the – ones (that will) overcome – I (will) give – to eat – [=from] – the – tree of – [..] life
c
which – is – in – the – midst of – the – paradise of – [..] God ;                    [or: ‘garden of Eden’ etc]

SMYRNA    [medieval period until 1500]
[etymology : unclear ; ‘myrrh’ appears a stretch
while the ancient root -zmyr may or may not relate to the Greek ‘ant-people’ -myrmidons ,
who were as fierce and hardy as ants, and intensely loyal to their leader
(well that’s a kind of proper description of the medieval type human ..) ;
therefore the context of ‘Smyrna’ may be
“the slaving lower obedient large class of people” and compare line 10 :]
8
and – write – (unto-) the – angel=saints of – (the-) Smyrna – church :
b
this – says – the – first – and – the – last ,                               [< because of the 10 centuries here ?]
c
who – was=had (!) – died – and – lives :                                         [‘had’ because before that he lived]

9
I know – [..] your – works , [=under] – [..] affliction – and – poverty ,
b
[=because] – you (are) are=being – rich=betrayed       +
c
and=by – the – ones saying :
d
[+we] are – jews=church of – (the-) themselves=Christ (heautous=kristos) ,                 [the RCC]
e
but – [+they] (are) synogogue=working together (sunagógé=synergos !) – the=with – satan=Adam ;

note :
… though tempting to put ‘synagogue’ as juxta of ‘church’ it does not feel correct
while it’s typically Esau to choose such a close root ‘work together’ ;

10
(since-) you=they (will) fear=withhold – no=from yet=you (2 words)      +
b
what=anything – (that is) be about=written – (in the-) suffering=scroll ,                      [a-b : true !]
c
behold=because – [..] you=God – was about – to cast      +
d
the adversary (Adam !) – into – prison=Sheol (‘no match’) ;            [because of Ephesus] [+Is.14]
e
that=therefore – [+he (is) furious] (parorgizô)      +                                                                         [see note]
f
(and-) will put [+you] to the test (peirazô)
g
(for-) ten – days :                                                                                                                                          [1000 y]
h
be – faithful – until – death – and – I (will) give – you – the – crown of – life ;

note :
… it was important that hé put them to the test because of previous
and we strongly feel there was an alliteration here – both verbs ;

11
the – one having – (an-) ear , let him hear – what – the – Spirit – says – (to-) [+this] church :
b
the – one overcoming – (will) not – (be) hurt – [=by] – the – second – death ;             [see note]

note :
… this is important : the ‘second death’ is typically for those who had no affinity
with the scroll and her concepts and therefore (many-) will be “not saved”
but will have to wait the 1000 years ;

PERGAMOS      [1500-1650 (Reformation) – 1790 (‘enlightenment’) :]
[etymology : ‘citadel’ , context : her extensive library :]
12
and – write – (to-) the – angel=saints – [..] in – (the-) Pergamos – church :
b
this – says – the – one having – the – sharp – two-edged – sword :                                               [ch.1]

13
I know – [..] your – works ,
b
[w/ swapped :]
and – where=your – dwell=resistance (?)
c
where=against – the – throne=church of – [..] satan=Adam ,
d
[=because] – you hold fast – [..] my – name – and – not – deny – the – belief – (in-) me ,
e
[probably :]
and – [..] [..] (will be) days=standing firm      +
f
[w/ swapped :]
which=like – my – faithful – witnesses – (in-) antipas=Ephesus ;             [read : first Christianity]
g
who=therefore – beside=some (?) of – you – (will be) killed
h
where=because of – dwell=resisting – (the-) satan=adversary ;      [prob. counter-Reformation]

14
“But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold
the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel,
to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.”
14
but – I have – few=this – against – you :
b
you (are) – that=not – have=aware – there=that – you (are) (-about to) holding=propagate
c
the – teachings of – Baalam=Adam  (!)                                                              [a-c : note the sad irony !]
d
who – taught=counseled – Balak=Esau     +
e
to cast – (a-) snare – before – the – sons of – Ishral (‘the potential (!) 144’)
f
[depending on original syntax :]
(through) prostitution=changing – (the-) idol-sacrifices=words of – and=God (kai=theos) ;

15
“So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.”
15
[+because] – you (will) thus=not – have=listen – (to-) and=Him
b
(and-) (are) you=about – to hold=produce        +
c
the – teaching=scroll of – nicolaitans=falsehood     +                                           [or: ‘of wickedness’]
d
which – I hate ;                                                                                                      [c-d : hence His anger in chapter 1 !]

16
repent , or – else – I (will cause) – soon=malice – to come – (upon-) you ,
b
and – I (will) fight – [=against] – them=you       +                                   [again stressing the sad irony]
c
[=with] – the – sword=scroll (romphaia=biblion) of – [=your] – (-own) mouth=doing ;

[next : ‘the given scroll for to read’ is a major theme in prophets (and NT) :]

b
(to-) the – one overcoming ,                                  [17 : ‘now fully understanding the scroll’ related :]

[next : problematic :
the ‘manna’ makes no sense and the ‘white stone’ is too close to “amulet Sorcery”
while “pebble” as -pséphos (2x) makes no sense as root ;
though the concept “secretness” must remain because of the hidden scroll ;
a) first line : the “hidden” is impossible in FUTURE sense ;]
I (will) give – him – [..] the – manna=words (?) – to eat=drink – (that had been) hidden ,
c
[w/ swapped :]
[=for] I (will) give – him – (the-) (eden-) white=waters – (for the-) pebble=soul (ps-éphos=psuché)
d
and=as – the – pebble=words of – name=God        +
e
(that had been) written – (in the-) new=scroll (kainon=biblion)
f
which – no one – understands – except – the – one (that) receives [+them] ;

THYATIRA    [‘modern christianity’ 1790-2017]
[etymology : thuatera , Lidian ‘castle of Thya’ (Dia) ; from old Greek -thuia “to sacrifice” ,
but context  “as the church-daughter to have been the first to sacrifice to Dionysus
and to celebrate orgies in his honour”
[for Dionysus see Ptolemy II page] , so , “fully worshipping Adam”… ]
18

[theme of 18 : “discernment” and “standing solid” :]

19
I know – your – works , and – the – charity – and – service ,
b
[w/ swapped :]
and – the – zealousness of – your – faith       +                                                          [19 : as in prophets]

as – [..] your – works=evangelizing – and=until – the – last=ends of – [..1x..] – the – first=earth ;

20
but – I have – few=this – against – you :
b
you (do) – that=not – let=care (aph-iémi=melei)           +                   [that=not : as in pergamos line]
c
(about-) the – woman=scroll of – (the-) jezebel=prophets                 [Esau used ‘prophets’ next !]
d
the=because – [=you] say : herself=we – (are) prophetess=saved (-already) ! ;
e
new subline starting with ‘and’ syntax (?) :]
and=but – your [+own] doctrine      +                                                           [= the ‘Christ Only’ doctrine]
f
seduces – the my=sons of – servants=Ishral (pot. 144)    +                   [was wrong syntax anyway]
g
to also go prostitute ,                                                                                                                              [see intro]
f
and=because of – (the-) eating=corrupted – idol sacrifices=scroll (KJV) ;

[next 21 : because 22 has two groups the other one must be introduced here

21
