[note : Hebrews has a line “40 days”
followed by “carcass” — Adam ?]

proper intro will come in next day(s)

                         goal :
                         if true – was the “40 days” here of the alleged ‘temptation of Christ’
                         (He was to go to the cross ! what now ‘temptation’ ?)
                         perhaps related to ‘our’ possible 40 days now ?
                         interpretation :
                         Adam’s main three ‘weapons’ annulled :
                         … as “our type body”, his “Strange fire” and his “tree of good & evil”
                         as the three incredible Barriers that he made against us
                         7 + 40 days :
                         as the , if true , “40 days of rain after the seventh” in noah’s flood ?
                         that page still is in progress ; forty days of (upcoming?) judgment ?
                         Lk has ‘Weeks’ following :
                         the Luke version shows the Isaiah ‘acceptable year’ lines not long
                         after this 40-days theme : was that connected (did it run on) ?
                         so that we may have a chance that it ends at Weeks ;
                         even though the reasoning [of that]  is not solid enough yet ,
                         part of the Eve section ? :
                         roots at the end suggest the “Eve rejecting Adam” Lk.4 (see page)
                         may [=MUST]  have been connected to these lines ,
                         what was the setting ? :
                         if not ‘a temptation’ then was He just “telling the way how Adam
                         would be convicted during those 40 days” or do we need a personal
                         circumstance (-of Him) in which he said these same things ?
                         on what occasion was this said ?

[Mt.4]
[start 1 : no ‘the devil’ but ‘Adam’ :]
1
“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”
1
        [… setting unknown still …]

2
“And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights , he was afterward an hungred.”
2
…………… – forty – days – …………. [setting unsure still]

note :
… luke 4:2 just has “forty + days” ; adding “in those + days” — which may conceal an
original time-frame or date (say “before + the day of + Weeks”) but we can’t prove that ;

          #1 :  Adam’s first main weapon : our blind body that he made :
                       [linking back to Gen.9 at the time of the Deluge , see page]

[next 3 :
Greek has “if – son – you-are – of-the – god” but that’s a weird syntax even in Greek ,
yet main point is that Adam ofcourse KNEW who He was so that this lengthy introduction
was smartly changed into an “if factor” ;
yet the point is that Adam knew that Christ would fulfill all of His gift as the sacrifice ,
and that he couldn’t hinder Him (hence Esau’s alleged ‘temptation’ is nonsense) ,
but he could block his followers – you & we – from reaching that similar goal !
does that make sense please .. ? :]
3
“And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God,
command that these stones be made bread.”                                                                                  [< ‘be made’ sic]
3
[=then]  – [..]  tempter=Adam – came=appeared (?) – (to) him , saying :
b
(the-) sons of – [..]  god=Ishral
 (‘you & we’) – (will) if=not – are=overcome ,        [w/ distorted syntax]
c
(for) you=they (will) [+not]  (be) say=interested – (in) the – stones=scroll of – these=God ,     +
d
(because-) [+they]  (will) become=love (?) (Ginomai=aGapé) – [+their]  bread=flesh ;

4
“But he answered and said , It is written ,
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
4
[=but]  – the=Christ – answered , saying :
b
[+their]  human=soul (anthróPoS=PSuché) – (will) written=die (graphó=apothnêskô)    +
c
not=to – on=the – (type-) bread=flesh (‘body’) – alone=which – [+you]  live=made ,
    [as
    ‘she-shall-die unto the flesh which you-made soul of-them’]
    d

    [now we need a cause & conclusion yet d) has but few words :]

    (wherefore-) [+they]  (will) but=need (?) – to on=know     +
e
(the-) every=real (?) – words – (which) – God – (has) go out=spoken      +
f
(in-) god=his (theos=eatos) – mouth=scroll (stomatos=lithos (‘stone’) = scroll) ;

note :
… this is true — becáuse we were dying we searched the scroll ; as so said in prophets ;

         #2 :  the Strange Fire theme (-that started with the idol-statue at Horeb) :

5
“Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city ,
and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple [=sanctuary]  ,”
5
then – [..]  devil=Adam – (is) taking=showing (?) – him     +
b
[..]  [..]  [+his]  – city=strange – holy=fire                                                          [2x no match & syntax swapped]
c
(in) and=which – [+he]  placed     +
d
[..1x..]  – upon – the – little wing=altar (pterugion=thysiastêrion !) – (in-) the – sanctuary of [+God]  ;

[next 6 :
useful word is ‘cast’ as in ‘casting the fire to earth’ , first (corrupted) lines of Rev.8 :]
6
(a) “And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God , cast thyself down:
(b)  for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:
(c)  and in [their]  hands they shall bear thee up,
(d)  lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.”
6
a
and – he says – (to-) him :
b
(the-) sons of – [..]  god=Ishral – (will) if=not (?) – are=overcome (?) ,
c
(so that-) you (will) [+nót]  cast – yourself=it
(‘strange fire’) – (-down) – (to) down=earth ,
d
for – it=they (will) [+not]  written=understand     +
e
how – [+I]  (am) directing (‘commanding’) – the – angels=fire of – him (‘altar’)      +
f
to rise up – [..1x..]  – (to) you=mý – about=gate (peri=pylê)     +
g
and=for (?)
(or ‘to support’ ?) – (the-) on=city (epi=polis) – hands=Babylon (cheirÔN=babylÔN) ;
h

[difficult : “lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone”… stone = scroll , as in 3 ? :]

(for-) lest=these (-things) – you=my – foot=sons      +
  [unlikely : ‘sons of Esau’]
i
(have) dash=hidden (?) (proskoptó=apokryptô)
j
against=within – (the-) stone=scroll (lithON=bibliON) ;

note :
a) already at Horeb Adam planned the false fire ánd corruption of the scroll – so that’s good (here) ;
    perhaps it said “therefore my sons have corrupted (or ‘changed’) the scroll”
    but perhaps how it stands now says the same ;
b) the “my sons” is rather strong since it IS (also) a war between his own evil sons , and we ;

7
“Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”
7
[+but]  [..]  Jesus – says – (to-) him :
b
(oh) , it=they (will) written=find – not=it ;
c
(then-) (mystery-) lord=Babylon (kuriON=babylON , as shown)      +
d
[..]  (and-) your – god=gate (or ‘sanctuary’ etc) – (will be) tempt=destroyed (ekpeirazó=katalyô) ;

          3# : the recompence theme & the tree of good and evil (the 70 years & 144,000 theme) :

8
“Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain ,
and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;”
8
[=finally]  – [..]  devil=Adam – takes=shows – him
b
in=the – mount=tree (oros=dendron) of – high=good – (and-) very=evil
c
and – (the-) showing=desolating – (by-) him (‘Adam’) of      +
d
the – kingdoms=garden (basileias=kepos) of – [..]  world=Eden     +
e
and=bý – the – glory=number (?) (’10’) of – (the-) him=tree (atON=dendrON) ;            (?)

note :
a) the buildup feels good : now his most hidden secret — that tree
      [one of both roots -P in the egyptian spells]  ;
b) the proposed “number of the tree” is a guess but we need a reference to the ’70 years
      and 144,000 theme’ , while Revelation has “.. the number of a humanoid”
      (if that phrasing there is true , ofcourse) ;
      but there don’t seem to be a way to mention ’10’ for it would sound silly ;
      while we still have the ongoing problem how to phrase this ’10’ – 10 what ? ;
      an interpreted line like this needs another section (chapter) wherein the 10 is explained ;

9
“And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”
9
and=therefore – he says – (to-) him :
b
these=not – all=ever      +                (‘never’)
c
(the-) you=garden (?) (soi=kepos) – (will be) give=restored (?) ,
d
(for-) [+they]  (‘you & we’) (will) – if=not – fall=fully conform (-themselves) (piptó=parakoloutheô)
e
(to-) me=yóur – worship=making a recompence ;
[‘soul / being ceases to exist’]
note :
… as the theme of ‘the denial of Peter’ (-see page) ;
this is revealing : though the disciples wánted (!) to die to their being
(a step further as ‘the soul dying to her flesh’) they were not able to , until He would to His’ ;
Adam must have known this so that he must have said this before the crucifixion !
so again – what was the setting of this ’40 days’ narrative .. ?

10
“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written ,
Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
10
[=but]  – [..]  Jesus – says – (to-) him :
b
go you away = you (shall) die (hupagó=apothnêskô) , satan=Adam ,
b
because – you=they (willworship=make recompense – (unto-) written=God     +
c
(for-) the=your – lord=transgression – god=against – you=him ,
 d
and (then-) – you=he (will make) to serve=perish – only=your (?) – him=tree ;
 [< attested]

[closing 11 : tricky ,
because Matthew is cut-off now , but note the continuation in the Luke 4 version ! :
also ,
the weird “wait on (thru-serve)” also appears in the Eve lines (‘mother of Simon being ill’)
in Lk.4:38-41 , see recent page , so that this section *may* have been part of that :]
11
“Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”
11
then – him=God (autos=theos) – (will) left=judge – [..]  devil=Adam ,
[or : ‘Eve will reject him’ ?]
b
and , behold ! ,
c
(the-) angels=Lord (aggelos=kurios) – (will) approached=return       +
d
and – served=gather – (the-) him=remnant (‘144’) .
       d #2 :
       [Lk.4:13:]  ‘until – appointed-time’
       until=in – (the-) appointed time .
[>> in casu ‘Weeks’ ?]
[next 14:]
“and jesus returns (to) ……..”
curiously ,
17-19 have the Isaiah lines “setting the prisoners free” and “the acceptance” which is Weeks

            end of section   —    [yet now trying to connect the (Lk.4) Isaiah lines to this]
