followed the day of Atonement : examples in Kings & Chronicles [workpage – overviews] [version ; 2025-07jul.29-31] |
content : … the “feast of Trumpets” is but very sparsely showing in the Scroll and remembering Esau’s fear of that day it is not strange that its content is lacking everywhere while he even may have moved her date — the examples below very strongly suggest that Trumpets followed after Atonement yet what we still need is a solid réasoning for this … |

theme
conclusion of the examples : Trumpets followed Atonement
… with the ’40 days until Atonement’ there was no need to go look into books
as Kings and Chronicles but the complete lack of information about Trumpets
kind of forced us to —
searching with key-word ‘trumpets’ it consistently showed in ceremonies like
the ‘crowning of a king’ or ‘the inauguration of the Temple’ until some pattern
in them appeared suggesting that these were but Esau’s different cover-ups
of the same ‘declaring & accepting the Scroll’ as thé most important running
theme that he completely buried ;
now please ,
because the Jubilee year with the declaring & accepting is so important it is
almost logical that the event was described in David’s and in Solomon’s life
and in that of a couple of other kings ,
but Esau turned “the description of what the kings did at each feast” into his
own different type events — so that in one event “trumpets are blown at the
coronation ceremony of some king” while in another event he has trumpets
sounding “as the start of a battle” ;
yet in his zeal ‘to give it another context’ he forgot that remained key-words
could identify the event in question – as the proper sequence of the feasts !
so that ,
though it was easy for him to go mess with the “listing of the seven feasts”
(and their contents !) in both chapters (Num.29 & Lev.23) , these real-time
stories about what David and Salomo did at the feasts during a Jubilee
were more difficult to corrupt , and though he indeed succeeded to change
it in a different theme . he followed the original buildup !
the best preserved example of this is 2 Chronicles 29 , next :
disguised as “a cleaning-out of the Temple & followed by a celebration”
the word (-themes) show in this order :
(lines 1-14) [by context ‘Weeks’]
(line 15) ‘sanctify oneself’ [during the 40 days]
(line 17) ‘and on the eighth day’ [was : the next 40]
(line 23) ‘the offered goats’ and
‘lay the hands upon the animal’ [Atonement theme]
(line 24) ‘made atonement’ [Atonement]
(line 26) ‘trumpets’
(line 27) ‘trumpets’ [Trumpets]
(line 28) ‘trumpets sound during the offering’
this chapter we must keep as standard – as “the best survived version” :
where here he added to the Trumpets theme his nonce of “and with harps
and cymbals” and “joyfully sang psalms” , these same additions show in
anóther corrupted version of this same theme so that we have a foothold ;
yet it is still unclear ‘what happens’ at Trumpets
… keeping in mind that Esau feared that day (-see main page) we ofcourse
can hardly even expéct a clear description , and indeed they all differ :
in one version shows “animal sacrifices” (-as in one Feasts List chapter) ;
two have “someone killed” (‘Adam’ as the explanation of that ?) and in one
shows the for us important “the glory of IEUE appearing” which would make
Trumpets our date — but probably it was a combination of all three themes ;
then we still have ‘the (Adam-) Passover flockling’ :
though Atonement could have been our date because of the 144,000 having
been purified , perhaps it was not lógical to expect that date exactly because
it was about God’s own matters and not a theme “about the enemy” —
wherefore , after cleaning His own it is possible that the next feast Trumpets
was to deal ‘with the enemy’ – and again compare Esau’s fear ;
so that indeed ‘this flockling’ can appear here ,
and perhaps even further described as “the man (as root -adm) killed” ;
while ,
though we had the “appear the glory of IEUE” in the Atonement day theme
this álso may have been glued by Esau unto it : for like ‘the flockling’ theme
has not surfaced yet , neither yet has this ‘the glory of IEUE appearing’ one ,
so that originally it can have shown at the feast of Trumpets ..?
[the appearance was related to ‘a cloud’ as it is mentioned in one example
below and remember the link with “return upon the clouds”]
examples (-as overviews)
A)
2Ch29 Hezekiah – temple cleanup & celebration of that
note : after line 2 the chapter was cut-off :
originally chapter 2 followed (the re-installation of Passover & Unleavened as declaring)
then continued in this chapter 1 with Weeks – the accéptance of the Scroll
[this swapping Esau also did with other examples , see below] ;
so that this chapter was ‘Weeks – in a Jubilee year’ :
(1-2)
[Hezekiah becomes king]
(3)
“He in the first year of his reign, in the first month ,
opened the doors of the house of the LORD, and repaired them.”
here ,
– line was cut-off here because of ‘he’ start
– the same “repair” but then ‘the house of God’ also shows in the example below ! ,
– Esau suggested “repair” here because at end of previous chapter 28
where he added for continuation (here) ‘how the previous evil king mismanaged the temple’ ;
– as ‘(had) [=declared] – the [=scroll] – [=before] – IEUE ,
b
and he (was to) repair=accept them (chzq=rtsn)‘ ;
(4)
“And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street,”
here ,
– that makes no sense ofcourse [‘east’ is also elsewhere]
while usually they “gathered at the entrance of the Tabernacle (or temple)” ;
(5)
“And said unto them,Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the house of
the LORD God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy [place] .”
(6-8)
– because “the wrath of IEUE” in 8 was the consequence of nót declaring the scroll
in the 49 years up until now ;
(9)
For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword ,
and our sons and our daughters and our wives [are] in captivity for this.”
here ,
– by not having declared the scroll so that it was not accepted >> curse came ;
(10-14)
– Esau’s corruption : a gazillion priest-names [he did the same in the David chapter below]
so whatever it said here is lost ;
(15)
“And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to
the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.”
here ,
– they sanctified themselves [time until Atonement]
– according to the commandment
(17)
“Now they began on the first [day] of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of
the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD
in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.”
here ,
– the same ‘and on the eighth day’ = 40 days till Atonement theme
– the “standing near the gate of the tabernacle” theme ?
(20)
“Then Hezekiah the king rose early ,
and gathered the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD.”
here ,
– and when rose early=it had become +
the hezekiah= the appointed time of – the·king = the appointed day [Atonement]
(23)
“And they brought forth the he goats [for] the sin offering before the king and the congregation;
and they laid their hands upon them:”
here ,
– the goats and laying hands [Lev.9] — a typical Atonement line [Atonement :]
[though no ‘goat’ here]
(24)
‘”And the priests killed them, and they made reconciliation with their blood upon the altar,
to make an atonement for all Israel: [……]
[now follows the ‘trumpet’ section ,
but within nonsense “song / harp / cymbals” as corrupted elsewhere ,
so that it’s difficult to see what happened here :
(25)
“And he [=makes to stand] the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, [<same as 26]
with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David,
and of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet :
for [so was] the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.”
here ,
– because same line , where “cymbals / zithers / harps” can be a cover-up of ‘trumpets’ ,
‘and (when) it (had) stand=become – the·Levites = the day (luim=ium) +
b
the house=four – (and) ieue=ten of – the cymbals=month – the zithers=seventh
c
[=as] the in=day of harps=Trumpets ,
d
according to the commandment of – david=IEUE , […. rest unknown ….] ;
here ,
– it’s possible , while having made here “the 14th” (not ‘on the first day’) ,
though “day – one” (first day) can have shown the context of that is not good ;
(26)
“And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.”
here ,
– the·priests = a priest – [=with] a trumpet (?)
(27)
“And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar.
And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began [also] with the trumpets,
and with the instruments [ordained] by David king of Israel.”
here ,
– it is not ‘the day of Trumpets’ yet ,
but they do something for that day – hence the ‘begin’ and ‘time’ ?
and – Hezekiah – says – to offer up – the·ascent-offering = the flockling (?) (‘Adam’) +
b
to·the·altar = outside (?) ,
(28)
“And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded :
[and] all [this continued] until the burnt offering was finished.”
(29)
Änd when they had made an end of offering ,
the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped.”
here ,
and when – the offering – (had) ended ,
b
[=the year of] [=the Jubilee] [=had begun] (?) (but 3x no match)
B)
[same buildup & key words]
2Ch.5 alleged theme : ‘Solomon inaugurates the temple’ [before he went rogue]
[where already all the temple gear was made in previous chapter 4 ,
Esau has them now “being brought into the temple” to camouflage the feasts theme :
after chapter 1 followed 3 (the inauguration óf the temple) probably ending with the
declaring of the Scroll — then this chapter 2 followed
(akin to the chapter above having been swapped) :]
(11) ‘the priests sanctified’ [the 40 days start]
(12) ‘cymbals, zithers and harps’ [as above chapter]
‘stood [..] priests [..] sounding the trumpet’ [as above chapter]
‘Asaph’ [as above chapter]
(13) ‘and it came to pass – as=at the one=appointed time (?) of – K Q trumpets ,
b
[in the] sound=four – (and) one=ten (etc) (?)
‘song of [..] IEUE’ [as ‘wrath’ in above chapter]
chapter closes with ‘the cloud of glory of IEUE’
as absent (c.q corrupted) in the other examples —
would this be “the original feast where this appears — instead of on Atonement” ?
B #2)
1Ch15 &16 alleged theme : David installs the ark (or something)
[Esau ‘pulled apart’ the theme when corrupting it and that across two chapters ;
the ‘trumpets’ show in ch.15 but also in ch.16 line 6 but then only in line 42]
(42) ‘trumpets’
‘cymbals’ [as above chapter]
‘song of the·Elohim’ [was : ‘wrath of IEUE’ , see above]
(5-6) ‘trumpets’
‘harps, cymbals, Asaph’ [see above]
– incredibly corrupted ,
Esau did not even trý to think of some coherent corrupted story theme ;
– though ‘the offerings’ etc are recognizable they all are misplaced
– the same ‘grocery-list of priests’ as in top chapter ,
(more corrupted)
though key-words and -phrases do show throughout the changed theme as
revealing the original buildup , it is undoable to even try restore the chapter :
a)
2Ki 11 & 12 [even more pulled-apart & corrupted :]
like in the top chapter , also here chapters were swapped to distort the buildup ,
chapter 12 came first ,
the ‘repairing – the breaches of – the house’ was ‘Zechariah repairing the door’ !
which is virtually proof that it originally was the same theme ;
(6)
“for it was [so, that] in the three and twentieth year of king Jehoash
the priests had not repaired the breaches of the house.”
here ,
– probably ,
in the forty ninth year the words of the scroll had not been declared (chzQ=Qr) ,
– after which the priest alone (?) declares the scroll ,
then chapter 11
[after a large corrupted gap :]
(14)
“And when she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was, and the princes
and the trumpeters by the king, and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew with trumpets :
and Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason, Treason.”
a #2)
copy : 2Ch.23 [lame copy of the above]
[even the exact same line :]
(13)
“And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes
and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with
trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise.
Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.”
here ,
– esau’s favorite ‘singers sing songs’
– in both stories someone is killed
b)
2ch15 [some insurrection against some king]
[became a completely irrelevant story]
(14)
“And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, with shouting, with trumpets, and with cornets.”
here ,
– after this also ‘someone is killed’ ,
– the same flat theme-buildup as in a) just with changed subjects here ;
but key-words show that it also must have been the same theme
– insanely corrupted
– Esau did not even search a valid réason for “the trumpets” here ,
c)
2ch13:12 & 14 [the Judah tribe battles someone – unclear story]
[same swapping of chapters to hide the buildup]
12] ‘[day of ?] trumpets’
14]
“And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle [was] before and behind:
and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets (sic) .”
here ,
– also ‘someone slain’ after the trumpets ,
– similar flat theme as in a) and b)
– line 21 can have been ‘a date’ :
as “And Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives ,
and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.” ,
knowing Esau he moved ‘the indication of the day of Trumpets’ to this invented line ,
disguised as ‘women=day – four – (and) ten’ ,
closing :
this is the maximum that we can squeeze out of the Kings & Chronicles chapters
